We are seeking a dynamic team leader for our Academy : Teacher position!
Position Overview
We are looking for visionary Teacher, those that are hoping to impact the field or early childhood education. Work with a team of professional early childhood administrators. Experience the supportive environment of working with others committed to educational excellence for children while cultivating relationships with parents and elevating the opportunities for the teachers on your staff. The Teacher is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the Academy. The Teacher is directly accountable for overall operational management in accordance with well-established guidelines, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, legal and budgetary considerations, and long-range planning. The Teacher ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the Academy are met appropriately.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing daily operations and school activities of school personnel in admissions, education, student services, front desk and administration.
- Providing leadership through strong team structure and communication
- Ensure that the education curriculum is implemented consistently.
- Maintaining and improving student attendance and retention
- Motivating team members through recognition and career development
- Achieving school goals and establishing specific targets for budgeted student starts and placements.
- Reporting to the Director office weekly on all school activity
- Demonstrate proficiency in teaching, leadership and management
- Ability to train and motivate team members with respect, recognition, and appreciation.
- Willing to learn and exemplify The Beauty Academy culture, mission and vision.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a STAR 2 or higher rated facility.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct professional experience in a high quality early childhood setting.
- High energy.
- Strong oral and written communications skills; technology skills.
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Strong finance and budgeting skills.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must clear full background check.

Assistant Teacher – 2 Open Positions
We are seeking a dynamic team for our Academy : Assistant Teacher position
Position Overview
We are currently hiring for an experienced, energetic and caring professional to assist in the Pre-K Counts program in Suffah Academy, working with a mixed age group of 3, 4, and 5 year olds.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the assigned student(s) with instructional activities planned and developed by the teacher
- At the direction of the teacher, communicate with the students’ family, classroom teacher(s), and administration while observing confidentiality of the student-related issues
- Supervises students upon arrival, at lunch/recess, dismissal, on field trips, and during activities outside of the classroom, as necessary
- Assists in the utilization of instructional technology
- Attends and participates in appropriate in-service activities and faculty meetings
- Assists in the instructional preparation of classroom activities and duplication of any materials that the Director of Child Care and/or teacher requires
- Follows school policies and promotes professional practices with students, staff, and parents
- The Assistant Teacher will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties requested by the Director of Child Care or designee

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a childcare or daycare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
